THE RIDE LEADER HAS A FAMILY EMERGENCY AND CAN NOT LEAD THIS RIDE THIS MORNING. THE RHOW IS A SHOW AND GO. Be at Como start at 9:15am for 9:30am departure. Carpool meet point is old Conifer Safeway (now Staples) at 8:15am. From Staples (Hwy73 & 285) take Highway 285 south 45 miles to Como. Turn right on to county road 50. Drive 1/2 mile West, take the first right. Park across the street from the Como Post Office.
Departure: 
All rides will depart promptly at the time noted in each of the ride descriptions. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to sign in and get ready to ride.
Cancellation: 
Rides will be canceled when temperatures are below 40 degrees and/or trail conditions are obviously too wet. When conditions are questionable, call the Ride Leader for a last-minute check. If you have any questions concerning the route, please contact the ride leader.
Helmets: 
Helmets are required on all Team Evergreen Bicycle Club rides.

Start with 1 mile of gravel road and finish with a 1/2 mile of gravel to Boreas Pass. The 8 miles in the middle is some great seldom used single track. The route is well marked with blue and sometimes orange diamonds. Ride a narrow trail thru aspen, scrub oak and pine forest, with a climb above timberline, The trail has a few rocks to make it interesting. This is an out and back ride.

Start - Ride segment description - End
0.0 - Ride West on gravel street between Como Post Office and Como Depot restaurant. Cross over paved Boreas Pass road. Take a right on first gravel road West of Boreas Pass road. - 1.0
1.0 - Turn left on trail just inside Camp Como fence. Follow blue and sometimes orange diamonds (also orange flaging). - 5.25
5.25 - Cross gravel road, pick up trail, ride to old mining flume.|- 5.8
5.8 - Ride thru a very fun flume. - 7.8
7.8 - Leave flume ride across two log bridge, cross another gravel road. - 8.0
8.0 - Start climb to timberline, then to Boreas Pass road. - 9.65
9.65 - Take a right on Boreas Pass roud to the top. Have a snack at the Section House cabin. Return the same route.
