Meet at the Bergen Park Park & Ride for a 9:00 am departure.
Bergen Park, Evergreen, Kittredge, Morrison, Colo 93 &26, Highway 40, Heritage Square, Highway 93, 6th Ave. Bike Path, 19th St., Lariat Loop Rd., Lookout Mtn. Rd., Highway 40, Genesee Park, El Rancho, Bergen Park.
From Bergen Park take Highway 74 5 miles south to Evergreen. Continue on Highway 74 through Evergreen, Kittredge and Idledale 10 miles to Morrison. From the intersection in Morrison at the Morrison Inn, turn left (north) on to Highway 93. Follow Highway 93 and 26, 3.5 miles to the I-70 underpass. From the I-70 underpass continue north on Highway 40 for 1 mile to Heritage Square. Take a left just past Heritage Square on to Highway 93. Follow 93 northeast 1 mile to 6th Ave. Cross 6th Ave. onto the bike path that parallels 6th Avenue and ride north 1 mile to 6th Ave and 19th street. Cross 6th Ave. on 19th St. which becomes Lariat Loop Rd. and ride 5 miles to Buffalo Bill’s Grave. The Lariat Loop Rd. continues on as the Lookout Mtn. Rd. Follow LOM Rd. 3 miles back to the intersection with Highway 40 at the LOM rescue station. Turn right (west) on Highway 40 and ride 1.25 miles to the Genesee Park. From Genesee Park, take I-70 2 miles to Exit 252 at El Rancho. From El Rancho ride 2 miles on Highway 74 (Evergreen Parkway) back to Bergen Park.
Round trip: 38 miles 2,950 ft. elevation gain.
Meet at the Whipple Tree at 12:00 pm for lunch.
