Meet-up Location and Directions: 
Meeting Time & Place: 7:00am for a 7:15am departure at Walmart El Rancho (I-70 Exit 252), meet at the west end towards McDonalds, or at 8:30am for a 8:45am ride briefing at Copper in the Union Creek Lot (that's to one furthest West). Directions to Trailhead: Copper Mtn: Take I-70 west to Copper Mountain ski area. Park in the the Union Creek Lot (free in summer). The ride begins in the grass area between the American Flyer and American Eagle ski lifts. Look for other riders here at 8:45am.
Departure: 
Be ready to ride starting @ 9:00AM. Ride briefing is at 8:45am.
Cancellation: 
If you have RSVP'd to the ride leader and can't make it, be sure and let him know so they don't wait for you.
Helmets: 
Helmets are required on all Team Evergreen rides.

Copper Mountain Bike Triangle - Saturday July 28

This ride has it all; pathways, double track, singletrack, a few obstacles, steep descents, and a two good climbs.  The ride begins at the ski area, winds around new single track on the ski hill, connects with the Colorado Trail, and continues over two passes during this epic journey. Ride time 6+hrs. There is a 28 mile out'n-back option if you turn around at the top of Kokomo Pass.

Ride Stats: 30 miles, 4,200ft elevation gain. Lowpoint 9,400 ft, and Highpoint 12,022 ft.

Lunch: Out on the trail. Recommend you pack a sandwich or snack.  Something more exciting than an energy bar.

Libations: We'll be tailgating in the Union Creek Lot at Copper Mountain. This will allow the fast decenders to get an early start.   Pack chairs or picnic blanket.

Additional Notes:
Recommend lots of water. Bring a water purifying pump if you have one.
Note this is a high altitude ride.
Pack plenty of energy bars/gu etc.
Ride leader will provide maps at the pre-ride briefing.
It's absolutely essential to RSVP to the ride leaders for this one.
Pack decent quality rain gear, a light fleece, arm and legwarmers.
